Does leucorrhea increase before menstruation?

It is relatively normal for women to experience an increase in leukorrhea prior to menstruation. Before menstruation, women are affected by pelvic congestion and estrogen, resulting in an increase in vaginal exudate and cervical secretion, which is manifested by changes in the amount of leukorrhea with the menstrual cycle. In the 2-3 days before menstruation, during ovulation, pregnancy and sexual intercourse, leucorrhea tends to increase and change in shape, such as transparent and stretched leucorrhea during ovulation, while the amount of leucorrhea increases before menstruation, but there are no abnormal changes in leucorrhea color, texture and taste. Increased leucorrhea with odor and itching is a sign of vaginitis. If you have increased leucorrhea before your period, you should change your underwear and keep your vulva clean and hygienic. However, if there is an increase in leucorrhea with odor and vulvar itching, you should go to the gynecology department of a hospital for a complete examination.
