How long does it take for a baby’s protein allergy to heal itself

How long it takes for a baby to heal from protein allergy cannot be generalized, but is mostly related to the baby’s development and its own constitution. The majority of babies with protein allergies will gradually decrease with age, and even gradually heal themselves around the age of 2-3 years old and no longer have protein allergies, as a result of the gradual development of the body’s functions and immune tolerance to protein. However, if the child is still allergic to proteins after the age of 3 years, it often indicates that immune tolerance is less likely to develop and may even be a lifelong allergy. Therefore, how long it takes for a baby to recover from protein allergy varies from person to person. If a baby is determined to be protein allergic after evaluation by a doctor, he or she should try to avoid foods rich in protein, such as milk, eggs, shrimp, etc., in the future to prevent triggering allergy symptoms. In addition, if the baby accidentally eats it and the allergic symptoms do not resolve on their own within a short period of time, he/she should go to the hospital for desensitization and other symptomatic treatments.
