How to treat retinal vitreous warts

For soft or multiple vitreous warts, 810nm laser transpupillary thermotherapy, also known as TTT or micropulse laser irradiation treatment, can be applied in the macular area, which may allow its absorption and restore some vision. Early stage can be treated prophylactically by taking high doses of antioxidants and vitamins, such as intake of vitamin C 500mg and vitamin E 400IU, beta-carotene 15mg, zinc 80mg, lutein supplementation, eating more green vegetables, quitting smoking, controlling blood pressure, and avoiding strong sunlight to stimulate the eye. For late onset of localized atrophy of the pigment epithelium associated with vitreous warts, only low vision rehabilitation can be performed.
