What happens when the stomach is infected with H. pylori

Helicobacter pylori is a special class of bacteria, a prokaryotic organism that can survive in a strong acidic environment and is the only bacteria that can survive in the stomach. It can invade the gastric mucosa, causing damage to the gastric mucosa leading to erosive gastritis, gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, and can even induce gastric cancer, etc. If the clinical test is positive for H. pylori, anti-H. pylori treatment should be administered immediately. So far there is no single drug that can kill H. pylori, usually using a combination of drugs, often using triple therapy, that is, two antibiotics plus a proton pump inhibitors, and antibiotics often choose penicillins, quinolones, aminoglycosides and so on. Proton pump inhibitors are often chosen from omeprazole, rabeprazole, pantoprazole and so on, and the course of treatment is usually taken for 10-14 days.
