The relationship between premature ejaculation and impotence

In clinical work, we often encounter male patients who say, “Doctor, I am impotent and prematurely ejaculated.” So are impotence and premature ejaculation the same thing? In fact, impotence and premature ejaculation are two completely different concepts. Impotence, or erectile dysfunction, refers to the inability of the penis to get a full erection during sex. Premature ejaculation, on the other hand, is a condition in which the hardness of the penis is normal during sexual intercourse, only that ejaculation is too quick and both parties are not satisfied enough. So why do many people confuse the two? The reason is that some patients start to show premature ejaculation and later even erectile function fails, which is often a psychological factor. Due to the occurrence of premature ejaculation, their own psychological pressure increases, shame to their wives, and even some women’s dissatisfaction, complaints, etc. further increase the psychological pressure thus causing impotence. However, if you treat premature ejaculation in time at the stage of premature ejaculation, together with the tolerance of your wife, impotence will not occur. It is worth noting that impotence and premature ejaculation can be combined, both of which can bring a sense of loss of male dignity and even affect family harmony, so if you are already feeling troubled, it is best to seek medical attention in time.
