Patients with chronic appendicitis who have recurrent episodes should be promptly selected for surgical removal. During the operation, attention should be paid to careful operation to avoid side injuries to adjacent organs, and also to clear the exudate from the abdominopelvic cavity, suture layer by layer after the operation, actively administer intravenous anti-infection treatment, and patients should be assisted or instructed to leave bed early to be able to promote early recovery of intestinal motility function. After the anal venting, the patient can be allowed to eat a full liquid diet. The wound should be changed every 2 days after surgery, and the stitches should be removed usually in a week.
