What to pay attention to artificial feeding

What do I need to pay attention to when artificial feeding? 1. Choose the right bottle with teat for your baby when feeding manually. 2, bottles and teats must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, and use clean drinking water to prepare infant formula. 3, because the infant’s gastrointestinal development is not yet perfect, no matter which milk substitute is used should be operated strictly according to the corresponding brewing principles, otherwise it is easy to cause diarrhea or other health problems in infants. When choosing a formula to feed, be sure to read the formula preparation instructions carefully and strictly follow the water to formula ratio and preparation procedures as stated on the instructions. 4. The temperature of the milk should be appropriate, not too hot or too cold. The mother can put a few drops of the milk mixture on the inside of her wrist or the back of her hand to make sure it is not too hot. 5. Each feeding should last 15-20 minutes and should not exceed 30 minutes. When feeding, the bottle should be placed vertically in the mouth so that the teat is filled with milk to avoid the baby inhaling a lot of air and causing abdominal distention and milk overflow. 6. At the end of each feeding, there should be milk left in the bottle so that the mother can observe the amount of milk consumed and confirm whether the baby has drunk enough. After the baby has finished drinking, she should pat her baby’s back to ventilate. 7. The interval between feedings is usually 3-4 hours, and it is not necessary to force the baby to drink all the milk in the bottle at each feeding. The remaining milk should be disposed of immediately and the bottle should be cleaned promptly to avoid bacterial growth. 8. If infants are found to have allergic reactions to milk such as abdominal pain, eczema or measles, stop using it immediately and switch to other milk-free milk substitutes under the guidance of a doctor.
