Neonatal pulmonary hypertension can generally be treated medically, but often requires a combination of NO inhalation, extracorporeal membrane lung, and other treatments.
1. Pharmacological treatment: When pulmonary hypertension occurs in neonates, vasodilators, such as sildenafil, can be used as prescribed by the doctor, which can promote vasodilation and thus reduce arterial hypertension in pulmonary neonates. There is a certain degree of efficacy, but the safety of a large number of clinical data need to be confirmed.
2. NO inhalation: It is a highly selective pulmonary vasodilator. Early inhalation can improve oxygenation and relieve the condition.
3. Extracorporeal membrane lung: mainly for neonates with severe respiratory failure, who cannot improve their condition after mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal membrane lung treatment can be adopted, but it is expensive and requires very high personnel and equipment, so it has not been widely promoted.
Newborns with pulmonary hypertension should go to the hospital in a timely manner, cooperate with the doctor to take treatment, and do not give newborns medication at will.
