How to treat warts

  Warts are benign growths caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection of the skin mucosa. Common clinical conditions include common warts, flat warts, plantar warts and condyloma acuminata. Warty epidermal dysplasia is also thought to be closely associated with HPV infection. The source of infection is the patient and the healthy person with the virus, mainly through direct or indirect contact transmission.   The most common drugs include: (1) vitamin A acid ointment, 1-2 times a day for external use, for flat warts; (2) 5-fluorouracil ointment, 1-2 times a day for external use, because it can leave pigmentation, so the face with caution; (3) 3% phthalamide cream or 3% phthalamide methyl sulfoxide for external use; (4) pindamycin wart root injection, for refractory common warts and plantar warts; (5) 5% imiquimod ointment. The topical application 3 times a week, can be used for flat warts, common warts, etc., has a certain effect.    3, the system drug therapy: there is no exact effective anti-HPV treatment drugs, can try immunomodulators (such as interferon, levamisole, etc.); Chinese medicine to clear heat detoxification, dispersed wind and liver, dispersion for the rule, sometimes can get better results.  4, prevention to prevent trauma: pay attention to labor protection in physical labor or injury-prone workforce.  Treatment mainly adopts topical medication and physical therapy, and systematic medication is mostly used for those with a large number of lesions or long-standing treatment.
