The causes of eye diplopia are different, and their correction methods are also different, mainly divided into the following cases. First, diplopia caused by strabismus. Some strabismus needs to be corrected with glasses, such as adjusted internal strabismus, and some strabismus needs to be treated with strabismus correction surgery. Second, diplopia caused by thyroid-related eye disease. When the thyroid gland functions abnormally, the extraocular muscles are involved, resulting in thickening and contracture of the extraocular muscles, causing restrictive eye movement restriction and leading to diplopia. Third, muscle paralysis caused by intraorbital or intracranial occupancy, resulting in paralytic diplopia, can be treated conservatively with drugs in the early stage, such as oral hormones or nerve nutrition, and if it does not recover for a long time, surgery can be performed. Fourth, hypertension or diabetes, as well as some other eye inflammation causes muscle paralysis, which leads to diplopia and requires active treatment of the original disease. Fifth, orbital wall fracture caused by eye trauma leads to diplopia caused by muscle entrapment, and in serious cases, orbitoplasty is needed to release the restricted muscle.
