New advances in thoracic surgical techniques single-port thoracoscopic surgery

New advances in thoracic surgery technology—single-port thoracoscopic surgery In the past 20 years, the development of thoracoscopic technology in the field of thoracic surgery has taken a prairie trend, and the scope of application has been increasingly expanded. From the early stage of simple diseases in thoracic surgery, such as pneumothorax, mediastinal tumor, hand sweating, simple biopsy, etc., it has rapidly developed to the point where all kinds of radical lung cancer surgery can be completed under full thoracoscopy, achieving the same long-term results as traditional open-heart surgery. With less trauma and faster recovery, thoracoscopic surgery has become the first choice for early stage non-small cell lung cancer treatment. At present, thoracoscopic lobectomy is still dominated by the three-hole or four-hole method. However, single-port thoracoscopic lobectomy has started to appear in the last two years, and the operation can be completed using only one port, and all surgical instruments, including the thoracoscopic camera, enter and exit in an incision of about 3-4 cm. There is no doubt that single-port thoracoscopic surgery is less invasive, with more aesthetic incisions and less postoperative pain. Our medical group has been carrying out this new project since the second half of 2014, and has completed more than 70 single-port thoracoscopic surgeries of various types, including more than 50 radical lung cancer surgeries, which have achieved good results. The development of medical science has proved to bring gospel to the patients, and single-port full thoracoscopic surgery is the latest progress in the field of thoracic surgery technology, and will surely benefit more patients.
