Femoral neck fractures and femoral trochanter fractures are common in the elderly and require surgical treatment, most commonly by performing artificial joint replacement and internal fixation with plates. However, the risk of surgery in elderly patients is so high that some hospitals do not accept such elderly patients for surgery. Our long-term clinical practice, improved surgery, shortened operation time and close cooperation with anesthesiology have led to a major breakthrough in the surgical exclusion zone for elderly patients. There is now no age limit for hip replacement surgery. Many patients with femoral neck fractures older than 90 years old have been successfully operated in our hospital.
