What is mosquito flying syndrome?
Small flying mosquitoes or dark shadows floating in front of the eyes are called mosquito flying.
The vitreous humor is the jelly-like fluid inside the eye, and floating objects or cells in it can cause mosquito flying.
Although these objects appear to be in front of your eyes, they are actually floating around in the eye, and what you see is their projection on the retina.
Flying mosquito symptoms can take many shapes: dots, rings, lines, clouds, or spider webs.
The causes of mosquito flying
1, into the noon, the vitreous began to thicken, wrinkled, degeneration, traction eye wall, causing vitreous detachment, is the most common cause of mosquito flying disorder.
2, posterior vitreous detachment is common in the following patients.
(1) myopic eyes;
(2) Previous cataract surgery;
(3) previous history of YAG laser surgery;
(4) have intraocular inflammation.
If the flecked mosquitoes develop quickly and many new flecked mosquitoes suddenly appear, you should seek immediate medical attention, especially if you are over 45 years old.
Is mydriasis very serious?
If the crumpled vitreous tracts the wall of the eye, a fissure can form in the retina. A small amount of hemorrhage in the fundus of the eye can also cause miosis.
Retinal fissures can lead to retinal detachment, so you should seek immediate medical attention if you have.
(1) Sudden onset of mosquitoes in front of your eyes;
(2) Flash in front of the eyes;
(3) One side of the visual field is missing.
Causes of anterior flashes
When the vitreous pulls on the retina, a flash of lightning or even a lightning sensation can occur, repeatedly over a period of weeks and months. Most older adults have experienced a flashing sensation in front of their eyes. You should seek medical attention as soon as you suddenly notice a flash in front of your eyes to check for retinal tears.
