Moles can be removed by surgical excision, laser treatment and other methods. Moles refer to melanocytic nevi, also called pigmented nevi, which are benign proliferations of melanocytes. Most pigmented nevi do not require treatment and generally do not affect the body. If they affect the appearance or mental health, they can be surgically excised locally from the diseased area, and in addition, they can be treated with lasers, such as YAG lasers and CO2 lasers. Pigmented nevus should be considered for surgical excision if it occurs in friction-prone or injury-prone areas such as palm and plantar, waistline, armpit, groin and shoulder. Those with malignant tendency should be excised as early as possible and histopathological examination should be done at the same time. Avoid friction and injury to the nevus on a daily basis, in addition to reducing sun exposure and avoiding treatment by informal means, which should be carried out under the operation of professionals to avoid aggravation of the condition.
