There are very many etiologies and possibilities for periumbilical pain. General surgery is a specialty that covers a wide range of specialties in the division of surgery, and in the specialty division of general surgery, the more common ones are acute appendicitis, as well as acute bacterial and toxic enteritis and relatively rare tumors, or a series of abdominal inflammatory diseases, which can cause periumbilical pain.
