Signs of age-related deafness

With the advent of an aging society, the number of elderly people who are deaf is increasing. When an elderly person finds out that his or her hearing is declining and it affects speech communication, he or she should face the problem correctly and not be afraid of being told that he or she is old and not acknowledge the deafness. Today, with the rapid development of science and technology, we can improve our speech and communication skills by using hearing aids. Generally speaking, hearing aids should be worn as soon as an elderly person’s hearing declines in order to improve the quality of life. The following are the signs of age-related deafness: 1. hearing but not hearing clearly; 2. often asking others to repeat what they have just said; 3. often mishearing what others have said; 4. often turning up the volume of the TV too loudly and making the next person irritable; 5. habitually turning the head to the side of the speaker or leaning forward in order to hear what others are saying. When the above situation occurs, you should seek diagnosis from an ear specialist and choose a suitable hearing aid in time. It is also important to go to a regular medical institution or a hearing aid store for hearing aids.
