Why children are prone to respiratory infections

Respiratory infections are common in children. Western medicine believes that children are more prone to respiratory diseases than adults because the structure and function of the respiratory tract are not well developed. In contrast, Chinese medicine believes that children’s lungs and spleen are often deficient and vulnerable to external evil, which can easily induce respiratory infections. If a child has recurrent respiratory infections, parents should not be anxious and bring the child to the hospital as soon as possible for symptomatic treatment. Respiratory tract infections still account for most of the diseases in children, as a result of the structure and function of the respiratory tract are not well developed.
