How do I apply for a domestic cochlear implant? The cochlear implant is approved by the State Food and Drug Administration for clinical validation. During the clinical validation period, patients who receive the cochlear implant are free of charge, including the cost of cochlear implant equipment, surgery, hospitalization, and language training. Deaf patients who meet the following requirements can participate in the free clinical verification: 1.
