Is it normal for babies to drool?

Salivation increases from 3 months of age in infants and toddlers, increases significantly from 5 to 6 months, and generally ends on its own at 15 to 18 months of age. Most drooling at this time is physiological and is normal. If it does not disappear after the age of 4 years, it is more likely to be pathological salivation and requires vigilance and prompt medical attention.
