The dosage of Dapoxetine for the treatment of premature ejaculation is 30mg orally 1~2h before sexual intercourse. Dapoxetine belongs to the group of selective 5-hydroxytryptamine reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), approved for the treatment of premature ejaculation (PE). 30mg of Dapoxetine taken 1~2h before sexual intercourse prolonged the pre-ejaculatory time by 2.5 times, and ejaculatory control/satisfaction was effectively improved, either primary or secondary premature ejaculation can be used with Dapoxetine. Common adverse reactions include nasal congestion, diarrhea, headache, and dizziness, with an incidence of about 4% with 30 mg. dapoxetine hydrochloride can be increased to 60 mg if 30 mg is not effective. Contraindications are hypersensitivity to dapoxetine, patients with severe pathologic heart disease, history of mania or major depression, and moderate/severe hepatic impairment. The drug needs to be used appropriately under the supervision of a physician.
