Oral and maxillofacial cyst refers to a non-abscess pathological cystic cavity that occurs in the oral cavity and maxillofacial region and is a benign lesion. The cystic fluid inside the cystic cavity is usually clear and can turn into pus if infection occurs. The outside of the cyst is surrounded by soft tissue to form the cyst wall.
