Importance of 3D printed model of nasal skull base

3D printing is a new rapid prototyping technology, and in 2012, The Economist magazine produced a special feature on the third revolution being experienced in industry today, which is an industrial revolution combining the Internet with new materials and new energy sources. 3D printing technology, as “an important symbol of the third industrial revolution”, will become a new creative technology that will change the world in the future. 3D printing technology, as an important symbol of the third industrial revolution, will become a new creative technology to change the future world. In March 2014, Dr. Wang Xiaolu, Deputy Chief Physician of the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of the General Hospital of the Chinese Armed Police, took the lead in China to conduct 3D printing of nasal endoscopic models. The anatomical features of transnasal endoscopic skull base surgery were deeply comprehended by postgraduate student Ren Chenglong through 3D skull base printing model simulation surgery. The 3D printed model of nasal skull base will become an important training tool for the training base of nasal endoscopists and play an important role in promoting the standardized training of nasal endoscopic surgery for clinical ENT head and neck surgery. The 3D printing model demonstration has been carried out in Jinan, Shandong, Loudi, Hunan, Changzhi, Shanxi and Beijing Aerospace Center Hospital to achieve good results. 3D printing is a new type of rapid prototyping technology, and in 2012, the British magazine “The Economist” produced a special feature on the third revolution being experienced in the industrial field today, which is considered to be an industrial revolution combining the Internet with new materials and new energy sources. 3D printing technology, as an important symbol of the third industrial revolution, will become a new creative technology to change the future world.
