Patient: My wife and I have been married for 4 years, soon after we got married my wife got pregnant, after 3 months she went for ultrasound and was found to be empty, as a result she had an abortion, about 5 months later she got pregnant again, but this time she went for an ectopic pregnancy, fortunately it was found early and under the doctor’s advice she did conservative treatment, which was successful and saved her fallopian tubes!
During this period, the first ultrasound revealed fibroids, which were not very large at that time, and the doctor recommended that the fibroids be removed after the birth by caesarean section, but my wife has not been pregnant for 3 years!
Laboratory tests.

My wife and I went for an ovulation test in the past few days and found that the largest fibroid had grown to 3.8X3.5mm and two smaller ones were found! The specific size is not mentioned!
I would like to ask Dr. Wang if this is the right situation to have surgery after pregnancy? Can we still have children if we have surgery? What should we do? Wang Shijun, Department of Gynecology, Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University
