Mycoplasma urealyticum – the culprit of infertility

When Mycoplasma solium infection occurs in the reproductive tract, the mucosal surface is damaged, which can lead to endometritis, tubitis, and even pelvic inflammatory disease. Fallopian tube infection is the most common. Mycoplasma urealyticum infection can cause infertility.   Even after pregnancy, it can lead to miscarriage, stillbirth, and premature birth. The treatment of Mycoplasma urealyticum infections must be carried out by both partners. To sum up, if a man or woman is found to have Mycoplasma solani infection, it is recommended to treat both partners in time to avoid complete loss of tubal reproductive function due to deterioration of tubal inflammation and to avoid the possibility of immune infertility.
