Intercostal neuritis is often secondary to other diseases, so treatment should first be directed at the cause, such as antiviral treatment, anti-tuberculosis treatment and radical tumour treatment. The next step should be symptomatic pain relief, including medication, physiotherapy, closed therapy, surgery and psychotherapy.
