How long frozen breast milk can be kept depends on the storage conditions and cannot be generalized. If breast milk is kept in the refrigerator at a temperature of 5°C or less, it can be stored for about 3 days, and this practice is suitable for women who work while breastfeeding. It is generally recommended that mothers express their milk on the first 1 day and store it in a clean glassware, hard plastic container or special breast milk storage bag in the refrigerator for the baby to consume on the 2nd day. If breast milk is kept in the freezer, it can be stored for up to 6 months. Note that breast milk should be kept deep in the freezer and label each container with the date to ensure that the breast milk stored for a long time is consumed first. When expressing breastmilk, mothers can first apply local heat and squeeze in the direction of the nipple, avoiding rubbing. It is recommended to heat the breast milk with warm water to about 40℃ and then shake it well for consumption.
