There is no such thing as whether flat warts on the genitals are serious or not. Usually, flat warts usually do not appear on the genitals, flat warts are often found in young people, preferably on the face and the back of the hands and upper limbs. A common viral infection of the genitals is condyloma acuminatum or molluscum contagiosum. Flat warts are benign growths caused by human papillomavirus infection of the skin and mucous membranes. As flat warts are self-limiting diseases, most of them can subside on their own with the passage of time. A small number of patients are treated with medication, surgery, or physical therapy, which can subside after a while. If warts or molluscum contagiosum appear in the genitals, they are usually caused by viral infections. If not treated in time, they may cause further self-inoculation or an increase in the number of skin growths, which is usually more serious. It is recommended to go to the hospital to find out the cause of the warts and follow the doctor’s instructions to avoid delaying the condition.
