What are the manifestations of developmental hip dislocation?

Developmental hip dislocation: it is commonly known as congenital hip dislocation, which is a common pediatric joint deformity. The femoral head loses its normal relationship with the acetabulum in the joint capsule, so that it cannot develop normally before and after birth. The main manifestations are poor strength of the affected limbs, asymmetry of the hip pattern, and unequal length of both lower limbs. Once the diagnosis of congenital hip dislocation is established after birth, treatment should be started immediately, and it is expected to obtain a hip joint with a function close to normal. The older the age at which treatment begins, the worse the outcome. Conservative treatment and surgical treatment Conservative treatment: Depending on the patient’s age and condition, sling treatment and plaster fixation treatment can be chosen. Surgical treatment: Generally speaking, if the patient is older than 18 months old, osteotomy is required if the dislocation is high, but it is not necessary to perform osteotomy if the patient is older than 18 months old.
