There are many types of fixed prostheses, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. I have made a comparison of the common clinical types in the hope that it will help patients in their choice. Implants and fixed bridges: implants do not affect adjacent teeth, but require high bone requirements, surgery, a long course of treatment, and high cost; fixed bridges require appropriate grinding of some adjacent dental tissue, which has a certain adverse effect on adjacent teeth (may lead to pulp treatment), do not require surgery, short course of treatment, and slightly lower cost than implants.
