Different tests are required depending on the type of jaundice.
In general, blood tests for liver function are first required to clarify the presence of jaundice and to determine the likely cause of the jaundice in general based on the results.
This is followed by targeted tests such as routine blood, urine and stool tests, abdominal ultrasound and abdominal CT to clarify the cause.
