Spitting up is a common phenomenon in infants, sometimes due to overeating and exceeding the capacity of the child’s stomach, sometimes due to burping or drooling. Children’s stomachs are relatively horizontal, with a loose cardia and a tight pylorus, so they are prone to vomiting. Vomiting is not the same as vomiting, as there is nothing uncomfortable for the child, but vomiting is not. Vomiting usually occurs soon after eating and is more frequent than vomiting. We need to observe whether vomiting affects weight gain. If the child is vomiting but gaining weight normally, there is no need to worry.
