About sacroiliac joint misalignment

  The sacroiliac joint is composed of the auricular articular surfaces of the sacrum and iliac bone, which are uneven and interlocked. The joint capsule is tense and wrapped with many strong ligaments, and the range of motion is very small.  Sacroiliac joint subluxation, divided into acute and chronic, can develop alone, or can be complicated by other injuries or diseases or is a component of the disease. Acute onset is often caused by trauma, while chronic onset is often caused by long-term poor posture and bad habits.  Symptoms are mostly manifested as pain in the lumbosacral region on one side, and in severe cases, the affected limb is afraid to land, bear weight and stand, and has difficulty walking. When sitting, the affected side of the hip does not dare to put pressure on the bed, often the hip on the healthy side of the bed, the affected limb to maintain the flexion of the hip and knee position, turning over with difficulty, lumbosacral pain, or can be along the sciatic nerve radiating pain (or numbness). Symptoms in the saddle area, spasmodic pain in the groin and adductor muscles, other visceral manifestations (such as dysmenorrhea, impotence, etc.). On examination, we see pressure pain at the joint, pear-shaped muscle, sciatic nerve stroke, internal retractor group, etc., unequal posterior superior iliac spine, unequal lumbar triangle, unequal iliac crest, unequal lower limbs, lumbar scoliosis …… obvious pressure pain at the affected sacroiliac joint, pelvic separation test, “4 ” test and positive bedside test, etc.
