Implants and fixed bridges are both fixed restorations with better aesthetics and comfort after restoration. Implants do not affect adjacent teeth, but they require high bone requirements, surgery, a long treatment course and high cost. It is recommended for those who can afford it, have living pulp teeth and can accept implant surgery. Fixed bridges require the removal of some of the adjacent tooth tissue, which may adversely affect the adjacent teeth (and may lead to pulp removal), do not require surgery, have a short course of treatment, and are slightly less expensive than implants, but higher than removable dentures. It is recommended for those who can afford it and whose neighboring teeth are dead pulp teeth (killed the nerve), and for those who cannot or do not want to have implants for various reasons and wish to have fixed restorations.
