How to determine blepharoplasty blockage

The lid gland opens at the edge of the eyelid and intermittently secretes a clear, oily droplet-like substance called lid fat. If the opening of the lid gland becomes blocked or incompetent for a variety of reasons, lid secretions accumulate at the lid margin lid gland opening and form small localized bulges or yellowish-white protrusions blocking the lid gland opening, which can cause lid gland dysfunction and result in a range of discomfort. This can be clarified by observing the local symptoms and combining them with the relevant clinical examination. The lack of lipid secretion after blockage of the lid gland leads to a decrease in tear quality and can cause dry eyes, producing a sensation of foreign body, dryness, and burning in the eyes; 2. abnormal eye secretions: the opening of the lid gland is blocked by yellow-white keratin and is raised and deformed, and the secretions are foamy, granular, or toothpaste-like when squeezed; when the lesion progresses, the lid gland will have yellow mucus-like secretions; 3. blurred vision and fluctuating visual acuity. II. Judgment based on clinical examination Slit lamp examination etc. reveals abnormal lid margin and lid gland opening, tear film microscopy shows abnormal lipid layer thickness, and infrared imaging analysis of the lid gland shows atrophy and absence of the lid gland.
