The common causes of swollen eyes and dizziness are as follows: i. Patients with severe renal insufficiency will have swollen eyes due to the impairment of water and sodium metabolism in the body, resulting in sodium and water retention in the patient’s body. Due to less urine, various toxic metabolites are difficult to excrete, which affects the patient’s brain blood supply and oxygen supply, and dizziness will occur. Second, in patients with severe hypoproteinemia, due to the decrease of colloid osmotic pressure in the blood vessels, the water inside the blood vessels penetrates into the extravascular and subcutaneous tissues, resulting in the patient’s eye swelling. At the same time, the effective circulating blood volume in the blood vessels is insufficient, and the patient has insufficient blood and oxygen supply to the brain, and dizziness occurs. Third, patients with hypothyroidism will experience these symptoms due to low levels of thyroid hormones in the body and impaired metabolism of blood glucose and blood lipids. Fourth, in patients with heart failure, dizziness and eye swelling will also occur due to decreased ejection volume and ejection fraction of the heart, stagnation of blood in the veins, and extravasation of water.
