Is abdominal tuberculosis contagious?

Abdominal tuberculosis is not an infectious disease, but is only caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which causes infectious diseases. It is the lung infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, or tuberculosis, that is considered an infectious disease by the state. In determining whether a disease is contagious or not, the main thing to look for is whether the disease will excrete pathogens. In the case of tuberculosis, the Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria in the lungs will be discharged into the air by coughing, talking loudly, sneezing, etc., and a healthy person may be infected after inhaling. Therefore, pulmonary tuberculosis is a contagious disease, but abdominal tuberculosis is not contagious because there is no way to expel Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and it is not contagious to others. Tuberculosis of organs other than the lungs, including abdominal tuberculosis, intestinal tuberculosis, bone tuberculosis, and lymph node tuberculosis, are also called tuberculosis, but they are not contagious.
