Mites are invisible to the naked eye, feeding on human dander and preferring to live in dark, damp, warm environments. While it is not possible to completely protect your child from exposure to mites, you can help improve mite contamination in your environment by paying attention to the following things in your life: Mattresses: Mattresses should always be dried on sunny days to keep them dry, or non-allergenic chemical fiber covers and mattresses can be used. Pillows: Do not use feathers, down or cottonwood as pillow cores, other synthetic materials are appropriate and ensure that the pillow cores are replaced at least once a year. Bedding: do not use pure wool blankets, you can use washable cotton or chemical fiber blankets, sheets should be washed and changed diligently with hot water, preferably not with down. It is desirable to use hypoallergenic synthetic material products and regular exposure to sunlight. Flooring: Do not use carpets, wooden flooring, tile or stone flooring should be used. Interior decoration: the interior should not be arranged with purely decorative furniture or complex structure of the wall hanging, try to use easy-to-clean furniture; do not use second-hand furniture. Surface smooth and easy to clean cotton curtains are more suitable than blinds or heavy curtains. Toys: Plush toys can easily become a breeding ground for dust mites, do not put them on the bed, you can put it in an airtight plastic bag frozen to eliminate dust mites, and then wash it clean. Rooms: Rooms must be cleaned regularly. Since the cleaning process may cause a large number of dust mites to float in the air, it is best to wear a protective mask or take refuge outside the house when cleaning. Dust should always be wiped with a damp cloth or vacuumed with a filter, and the filter of the air conditioner should be cleaned or replaced. Pets: Do not allow pets into the bedroom. Humidity regulation: Reducing the relative humidity to less than 45% is one of the most effective ways to eliminate dust mites. When it is sunny, open the windows and doors of the bedroom to ventilate and dry the mattress to keep it dry.
