For children with enuresis, patient education is needed to encourage the child to eliminate shyness and nervousness and to build confidence in overcoming the disease. We should also pay attention to controlling the amount of water consumed after dinner and meals, making the child empty his urine before going to bed, and paying attention to the time when the child urinates after going to sleep, so that he can wake up on time to urinate and gradually develop the habit of urinating on his own. Do not let the child get too excited before bedtime, and try to let the child fall asleep quietly.
If a child wakes up regularly to urinate because of sleepiness or laziness, no treatment is needed. If the bedwetting is caused by inflammation of the bladder, urethra and nearby organs, encopresis, pinworms, myelitis, cerebral hypoplasia, recessive spina bifida, etc., the original cause should be actively treated.
