How to get rid of newborn acne

Neonatal acne can be eliminated by adjusting breastfeeding, improving the skin’s environment, or using topical medications as prescribed.
1. Breastfeeding: Newborns get too much androgen from their mothers before birth, prompting the sebaceous glands to secrete excessively leading to acne, which can be alleviated by adjusting breastfeeding to balance the hormones in the newborn’s body.
2. Improve the skin environment: newborns have incomplete thermoregulation, so newborns’ clothing can be adjusted according to the temperature, so that the newborn’s skin is in a dry, breathable environment, thus improving and eliminating acne.
3. Topical medication: Keep the newborn clean, do not squeeze the acne, and apply mupirocin ointment and erythromycin ointment as prescribed by the doctor.
Newborn acne should not be treated privately to avoid aggravation, but can be treated under the guidance of a doctor.
