On November 29, 2014, the 2014 China Perinatal Medicine Development Strategy Seminar was held in Beijing, and the Fetal Medicine Center of Peking University First Hospital was established in this meeting, which is the first medical institution of the city’s fetal medicine center. In order to maximize the integration of medical resources and truly serve patients, our center took the lead in carrying out multidisciplinary consultation at the end of 2014, which truly integrates biochemical screening, fetal ultrasound, fetal neurological MRI, clinical genetics, clinical obstetrics, neonatology and neonatal surgery, and truly realizes the green channel of multidisciplinary consultation. So far, we have formed a multidisciplinary team of experts in obstetrics clinical and ultrasound specialists, neonatal surgery, neonatal urology, neonatal internal medicine, neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric metabolic diseases, fetal NMR, clinical genetics, etc. We have also taken advantage of the medical advantages of the capital city to actively invite and expand the composition of our center’s expert team, and take advantage of the already existing relationship with Baylor Houston Fetal Medicine Center of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor Medical Center in Houston, U.S.A., and is working to establish an international consultation platform. The multidisciplinary consultation process of Beida Hospital Fetal Medicine Center is now placed here, so that pregnant women in need can make use of the one-stop service to complete the consultation.
