How to treat seborrheic dermatitis of the head

Seborrheic dermatitis is a chronic, relapsing, inflammatory skin disease that commonly occurs on the head, face, chest, back, and other seborrheic areas. Seborrheic dermatitis of the head can be treated by general treatment, topical medication, oral medication and other methods.
1. General treatment: live a regular life, get enough sleep, regulate the diet, limit the fat and sugar diet, avoid drinking alcohol and spicy stimulating food. Keep the scalp area clean and dry, avoid using irritating shampoo. Avoid excessive scratching when shampooing, and avoid scalding with hot water at too high a temperature.
2. Topical medications: Selenium disulfide lotion, ketoconazole lotion and other medications can be used instead of shampoo.
3. Oral medication: If the patient’s lesions are large in scope, oral medication should also be used, commonly used drugs are vitamin B complex, itraconazole capsules. If accompanied by secondary bacterial infection, need oral erythromycin, tetracycline and other antibiotic drugs.
It is recommended that patients with seborrheic dermatitis in the head should consult a doctor in time and strictly follow the doctor’s instructions to use medication, do not take medication without authorization.
