The drugs for the treatment of high total bile acids caused by liver cirrhosis include ursodeoxycholic acid capsule, compound glycyrrhizin tablets and methionine vitamin B1 injection.
1. Ursodeoxycholic acid capsule: it can be used for cholesterol gallbladder stones, bile-depositing liver disease (such as primary biliary cirrhosis) and bile reflux gastritis. Adverse effects of this product can be seen in gastrointestinal disorders, hepatobiliary dysfunction, urticaria, etc. Acute cholecystitis, cholangitis, bile duct obstruction and other people are prohibited to use this product.
2. Compound Glycyrrhizin Tablets: It can improve abnormal liver function and treat chronic liver disease. It can also be used to treat dermatitis, eczema, and baldness. Adverse effects of this product include increased blood pressure, hypokalemia, sodium and fluid retention, decreased urine output, and swelling. The drug is contraindicated in aldosteronism, myopathy, hypokalemia, and end-stage cirrhosis with a tendency to elevate blood ammonia.
3. Methionine Vitamin B1 injection: it can improve liver function, and has obvious curative effect on cirrhosis, acute and chronic hepatitis, fatty liver, and can also improve intrahepatic cholestasis, and can be used as adjuvant treatment for poisoning by barbiturates, alcohol and sulfonamides. Its adverse reactions are nausea, headache. The drug is contraindicated in hepatic coma, hypersensitivity to vitamin B1.
