Precautions after hip arthroplasty

  1.Patients should avoid crossed legs and knees (crossed legs, cross-legged) when sitting, standing or lying down, and avoid kneeling position.  2, lying down between the thighs must be put pillows, to keep the legs apart. When lying on the side, pillows should be placed between the legs to avoid dislocation caused by excessive internal rotation, and try to turn over to the operating side.  3.When sitting, standing or lying down, knees and toes should not be turned inward, but should keep feet and knees straight to the ceiling or facing outward.  4, sitting position should be separated from the feet about 375px, do not sit too short chair or too soft sofa, if necessary, available pillow cushion sitting. The position of both knees is best below the hip level.  5, choose a solid, straight-backed, armrested chair, conducive to standing up or sitting down, from sitting to standing, should first slide to the edge of the chair, and then crutches stand up.  6.Use a raised toilet seat when toileting, forbid squatting, and keep the position of the knee joint below the hip joint level when toileting.  7.When standing or sitting, the body should not tilt forward more than 90°, that is, avoid excessive bending movements, and it is best not to have hands above the knee joint when bending.  8.Do not squat and pick up things within 3~6 months after surgery.  9, usually avoid and control all kinds of infections, and come to the clinic whenever there is a situation in the affected hip.
