However, discharge from the hospital is not the end of your treatment. Your post-discharge treatment and regular follow-ups are equally important for your recovery. It is important that you follow your doctor’s instructions for follow-up treatment and medical checkups after discharge. In order to achieve the best recovery effect, you should also pay attention to the following points after discharge: 1.Application for discharge: Please go to the nurse after 9:00 am on the day of discharge to get your 1.discharge certificate 2.discharge prescription with medication (some patients may need to continue to take medication after discharge) The discharge form and diagnosis certificate should both indicate: diagnosis, specific time for review after discharge, rest time, review location and some special notes. If you do not write down the specific time, please ask our medical staff to fill in clearly for you. Discharge with medication: In order for you to recover better, you may need to continue to take medication after discharge. For example: anti-osteoporosis drugs, oral painkillers, oral neurotropic drugs, etc. Hospital regulations: you can only bring oral medications, not injections or liquids, when you are discharged from the hospital. (Some chronic diseases such as diabetes, coronary heart disease, hypertension drugs must be prescribed by the relevant specialist, my department for spine surgery, discharge with drugs can not be prescribed such drugs) imaging data: please bring all your imaging data (the original report must be archived in the medical record), home must be properly stored (in a dry, dark place, each film with paper between the separation, prevention and paste together, damage to the film). Be sure to bring them all to each review. Otherwise, it will affect your review and further treatment. Inpatient medical records: Please bring valid documents (patient’s ID card, if you do it on behalf of the patient, you must bring the patient’s ID card and the operator’s ID card) to the medical records office in the office area for photocopying after 7 working days of discharge. The original checklist must be filed in the medical record, and the photocopy can be taken away by the patient for safekeeping. 2.Discharge procedures at the discharge checkout office: Please bring 1) discharge certificate 2) prescription for discharge medicine, and then take your deposit slip (proof of payment during hospitalization) to the discharge checkout office on the first floor of the outpatient clinic. 3.Discharge: After you finish the discharge procedure, you must inform our office nurse before you leave the hospital, in case we do not inform you of something important, which will affect your further treatment. If you have any special discomfort or emergency after discharge, you can come to the hospital at any time. Congratulations, you can now leave the hospital and go home to continue your recuperation. 4.Change of medication and removal of stitches after discharge: you should go to our outpatient clinic or local regular hospital for change of medication and removal of stitches on time after discharge according to the doctor’s prescription: the dry incision is generally changed once in 2 days, and the incision is not completely healed and the incision exudes more patients are generally changed 1-2 times in 1 day, if your incision is suddenly red, swollen, painful, bleeding a lot or exuding more, you should go to our orthopedic clinic or emergency clinic in time to avoid adverse consequences. The incision removal is usually 12-14 days after surgery, elderly patients and patients with poor health can extend the removal time, usually 14 days after surgery. 3 days after the removal of the incision, if there is no oozing and redness of the incision and other abnormalities, you can take a shower and wash the skin around the incision after obtaining the doctor’s consent, but please do not deliberately remove some scabs. Braking of the affected limb and walking on the ground after discharge: You must follow the doctor’s instructions to move on the ground after discharge. Patients with cervical spondylosis generally need to use a neck brace for 2-3 months after surgery, patients with lumbar disc herniation fusion need to wear a lumbar brace for not less than 2 months, and patients with scoliosis, kyphosis and other spinal deformities need to perform activities according to specific doctor’s orders. Patients with thoracolumbar spine fracture need to get out of bed under the protection of thoracolumbar spine brace for at least 3 months after the injury, but before removing the brace for functional exercise, they must go to the outpatient clinic for review and obtain the doctor’s consent before removing the fixation. 6, the issue of functional exercise of the limbs after discharge: in order to maximize the recovery of limb function and prevent complications.
