The main symptoms are irritation of the eyes and respiratory tract, such as conjunctival congestion, tearing, photophobia, sneezing, dry nose, dry and itchy throat, sore throat, hoarseness, coughing, wheezing and difficulty in breathing. It may also be accompanied by dry and itchy skin, dermatitis and other signs of skin irritation.
