How to read pregnancy test paper

Pregnancy test strips generally refer to early pregnancy test strips, pregnancy test sticks, etc. It is a method to detect pregnancy by measuring the level of HCG in urine. If a pregnancy test detects the presence of HCG in urine, it will show a positive result. A pregnancy test can usually be used to detect pregnancy after 14 days after intercourse during ovulation, and the test result is usually observed within 5 minutes during the operation. If two red lines of equal color appear on both the control line and the test line, it is positive, indicating a higher possibility of pregnancy; if there is only a red line on the control line and no reaction on the test line, it is negative and the possibility of pregnancy is small; if there is a positive test line and no reaction on the control line, it is a sign of test failure. If the test shows a positive result using the test strips, it is recommended to go to the hospital to confirm if you are pregnant and to rule out the possibility of ectopic pregnancy. There have been previous cases of pregnancy that were not detected by the test paper, and other diseases besides pregnancy, such as chylothorax, choriocarcinoma, and ovarian tumors with endocrine function, can also show positive test paper results, so it is necessary to go to the hospital for confirmation.
