What to do if your newborn has “diaper rash”

Diaper rash, also known as buttock rash, is a rash caused by moist diapers that irritate the skin, manifesting as small red mounds on the skin surface or peeling, oozing, etc. It is a common skin disease in newborns. There are many ways to avoid diaper rash, first of all, you should choose soft and absorbent cotton cloth for diapers, diapers should be washed and changed regularly, after washing in the sun exposure to sterilize. After each bowel movement, you should wash your newborn’s bottom with warm water. Do not wrap the diaper with plastic to prevent the heat from radiating and reduce the irritation to the skin. If diaper rash occurs, do not wash with soap, you can put edible sesame oil on the fire and cool it, then apply it on the buttocks, it will reduce the symptoms after a few days. The main thing at this time is to let the baby’s buttocks ventilate and breathe often, without prolonged contact with wet diapers.
