About irregular menstruation

The cycle, duration and blood volume of normal menstruation show obvious regularity and self-limitation. When the body is affected by various internal and external factors such as mental stress, emotional changes, malnutrition, metabolic disorders and environmental and climatic fusion, the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis can be regulated or the target cell effects can be abnormal through the cerebral cortex and central nervous system, resulting in menstrual disorders. Most of the time, menstrual disorders are functional uterine bleeding, but they can also be caused by polycystic ovary syndrome, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, and irregular menstruation, or organic lesions such as uterine fibroids and endometrial lesions. This is especially true for older women.
