What are the types of urinary tract infections

Urinary tract infections are one of the major urological diseases that plague patients as much as various tumors. The reason for this is that people do not have a deep understanding of the disease and are prone to stop taking their own medication during the treatment process. Urinary tract infections are divided into four categories: 1. simple urinary tract infections 2. complicated urinary tract infections 3. urinary sepsis 4. male reproductive system infections. The main symptoms include urinary frequency, urinary urgency, urinary pain, hematuria, back discomfort and pressure pain at the angle of the rib cage. Below we will mainly introduce the first two categories. I. Simple urinary tract infection Simple urinary tract infection is the most common and easily curable disease in the clinic; it is divided into two types: cystitis and pyelonephritis. The former is characterized by frequent and painful urination and hematuria; the latter is often characterized by back pain and fever. Its treatment is also different. 1, female non-menopausal cystitis 3 days of therapy, Lioresal 0.3g2/day; or second or third generation cephalosporin; 2, female postmenopausal cystitis its treatment as above, but must add estrogen replacement therapy; 3, pyelonephritis oral administration of the above drugs for 2 weeks; 2 weeks if not improved, then need to continue to take 6 weeks. Second, complex urinary tract infections with positive urine culture and susceptibility factors, such as: stone tumor residual urine more obstructive factors such as poor urination. Its treatment is divided into: 7-day therapy, 14-day therapy and 21-day therapy according to the severity. The applicable drugs are the same as described above. Complex urinary tract infections are more likely to contain drug-resistant bacteria. Because it is prone to recurrence, it is recommended to have a homogeneous bacterial culture and drug sensitivity test before and after the end of treatment. To put it in a more confusing way, it is recommended that urine culture tests be performed before the start of treatment, that the discontinuation time of active oral medication be continued for 1 week after the disappearance of symptoms, and that sexual urine culture tests be performed again after discontinuation.
