  Cold is not a trivial disease, if the treatment and care is not timely, it can cause a variety of complications that require a high degree of vigilance. The most common ones are introduced: 1. Acute catarrhal otitis media: common in children and young people, due to upper respiratory tract infection, especially combined with rhinitis, not treated in time, or can not blow the nose correctly, about 5-7 days after the cold caused by the pharyngeal tube obstruction. The prognosis is good with timely treatment. Sick children can cry a lot and complain of ear pain, and this pain is often related to body position and should be treated by a specialist as soon as possible. It can lead to sudden death and is one of the most dangerous complications. Prevention: complete bed rest for at least 2-3 days when you have a cold, especially for teenagers, those with a family history of heart disease; check the electrocardiogram and myocardial enzyme profile on the 14th day after the start of the cold, and strive for early detection and treatment.  3, acute nephritis: often occurs around the 14th day after the start of the cold, and the body’s immune response to streptococcus, symptoms include headache (because of increased blood pressure), swelling of the lower limbs or face, urine, etc., can also appear insidiously without attention, and often misdiagnosed with serious consequences. Need to check the urinary routine to confirm the diagnosis, early treatment prognosis is good.  4, rheumatic fever: manifested as sudden joint pain, redness and swelling with subcutaneous nodules and ring-shaped erythema after 2 to 4 weeks of cold, or manifested as small chorea with involuntary small movements and facial movements; untimely treatment can develop into rheumatic heart disease, and early treatment has good prognosis.  Active prevention of complications The most important thing to prevent various complications of cold is to treat the cold seriously, and at the same time pay attention to the review after the cold with prevention. Generally, around the 14th day of cold symptoms, you should take the initiative to go to the hospital for routine blood and urine tests, electrocardiogram and fundus examination, and ear, nose and throat examination to facilitate early detection of problems. Adults and children alike should have their colds checked more than 3 times a year, and should be vaccinated against influenza every year for at least 3 years in a row, and should be vaccinated against pneumonia (5 years in one tube) if possible, to actively prevent pneumonia and enhance immunity.
